AISME – the Italian Academy of Commodity Sciences – has as its primary purpose the promotion of research and scientific collaboration among scholars in the field.
In particular, the Association supports the advancement, in-depth study, and dissemination of Commodity Sciences and related disciplines; participates in initiatives and projects promoted by Italian, foreign, and supranational institutions; collaborates with public and private entities; and provides expert opinions and scientific contributions within its areas of competence.
AISME organises, sponsors, and supports conferences, debates, seminars, and other cultural initiatives; promotes the creation of study commissions; awards prizes and scholarships; and oversees the publication of the Association’s official journal. It also undertakes any other activity deemed useful for achieving its statutory purposes.
